A day of rain didn’t stop Rachael and Kenton from getting married at Maison Albion on a Saturday in July. If anything, the rain blessed them with good luck as they tied the knot. The ladies started the day off with a homemade French breakfast in our dining room. Right after, they were dolled up for the big day ahead. The bridesmaids wore their hair curly, but pulled back into an elegant bun. Rachael accessorized with a pearly headband. The bridesmaids wore matching teal dresses with a tank style lace bodice, and chiffon flowing from the waist.
All eyes were on Rachael and her gorgeous dress. She wore a spaghetti strap and sweetheart neckline with elegant lace and bead detail. The intricate lace in her dress matched the edging on her veil making her bridal look complete. The colors of the bouquets were vivid with orange tiger lilies arranged between pink, purple, and blue flowers with added greenery. One of the special details was her handmade bouquet holder with her soon-to-be last name.
Kenton honored his country, and especially his family, by wearing his Army uniform. The groomsmen wore grey tuxedos with a white dress shirt and matching gold vests and ties. The boutonnieres were orange and pink flowers surrounded by greenery. To match the bridesmaids, their pocket squares were teal.
During the ceremony, the couple braided a rope together in the shape of a cross to signify their lives binding into one. Handwritten vows were exchanged along with tears and smiles. Another special detail is in the rings. So much love and time were put into them as Kenton made both of the rings himself.
Nothing is more romantic than marrying your best friend and kissing in the rain on the same day. Rachael and Kenton are a very lucky couple. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
