Andrea and Corey’s wedding day at Maison Albion was the most long awaited day, not just for the couple, but for their families as well. Cayla, our design manager, had planned July 9th, 2022 as a day filled with roaring celebrations of both love and surprises. After all, it was her brother’s wedding!
The morning had flown by and it was time for Andrea to start getting ready. Andrea’s hair was curled and carefully wrapped around a vintage flapper inspired crystal and pearl headpiece. The dress, of course, had intricate lace detailing and pearl embellishments that matched her necklace and headpiece. Her overall look encapsulated the stunning beauty of a 1920’s inspired bride in the modern world.
Andrea’s bouquet was modest, combining white tiger lilies, white carnations, white roses, baby’s breath, and a touch of greenery. White feathers and pearls were blended into the florals. The bridesmaids were gifted, by Andrea, black and gold fans as their “bouquet”. A unique, but useful, twist especially during the ceremony.
While the gentlemen were getting ready, the first surprise of the day walked through the doors of the gentlemen’s lounge. Corey, in utter shock, couldn’t believe his eyes. His Uncle had flown in from Tennessee to witness his special day. The second surprise was another family member, Corey’s grandmother. This was her first time meeting her great-grandsons. An unexpected visit from a special family member is always a wonderful surprise.
Shortly after, it was time for Andrea to walk towards her forever. Corey walked with the flower girl as she threw silk petals in the air. The mothers of both the bride and groom walked down with Andrea and Corey’s twin boys as the ring bearers. What a moment. Within a blink, the ceremony was over, and the new Mr and Mrs had the biggest smiles on their faces.
Dances were shared, beautifully written speeches were made, and moments were cherished. Yet another surprise was waiting to be shown. Andrea had surprised Corey with the bike he always wanted. One of the guests even fixed it up and painted it to his liking. Corey never had any idea until he saw it on the terrace!
A wedding is one of the most important days in one’s life. What makes a wedding memorable are all the little things. A surprise visit from a family member, the perfect wedding gift for the groom, and even taking the time to relax and enjoy all the love in the room.
A huge congratulations to the Mr and Mrs!
