Albion is for lovers
Maison Albion is located in the heart of Orleans County, a rural and historically rich area in Western New York. Albion lies nine miles south of Point Breeze Lake Ontario, where lake life is accessible to anybody. Lake Alice is a hidden gem just north of Albion - it's smaller scale lake filled with homes, boats, jet skis and activities.
So when headed to Albion, grab your boat and your fishing pole for a weekend getaway on Lake Ontario. Fisherman depart from their boat docks early in the morning and spend their days on the water. Lake life is the norm in Orleans county, even if one doesn’t own a boat or a home on the lake, fishing and swimming in the area makes the summer speed by. During this time of year, the lakes are filled with boats, jet skis, tubers and water skiers. The lake culture is one of the most beautiful and fresh things Albion has to offer.
Albion is located 40 minutes from Rochester and 40 minutes from Buffalo. It's easy to take frequent trips to both cities for shopping and other amenities located in each city. In the area, there are many restaurants, including numerous spots that are famous for their wings and garbage plates (Rochester takes their garbage plates seriously, just as Buffalo does their wings). Both of these items are on the must try list, recommended by locals.
Rich in History
The historic Erie Canal runs through the town of Albion and many of the buildings in Albion were established during the origin of the township. Orleans County is a historic destination, there are many popular landmarks such as the Mt Albion Cemetery where the several hundred foot tower lies. As odd as it sounds, the Mt. Albion cemetery contains the most beautiful walking trail that Albion has to offer. The tower was established just after the Civil War as a memorial monument for local fallen soldiers. The history of Albion is one of the most attractive things about this small town.

The downtown of Albion is lined with small shops and businesses that make the small town seem much larger. A few of the sweetest shops in Albion are; Laura Loxley, Milk & Honey, He Brews, Tinsel, Pretty Sweet Bakery, Red Check Rustic, the Uptown and Downtown Browsery and many more gems. When in Albion, the town provides a special feeling of solitude, community and a small town charm.
In the Western New York area, there are a plethora of festivals, markets and things to do and try during all seasons of the year. In the Summer, Albion holds a Strawberry Festival. Medina holds a parade of lights in the winter and Rochester continues a Public Market year round, one of the most diverse and beautiful places to visit. Rochester also hosts The Lilac Festival each year. In the summer, Canalside holds ice skating in the winter and vendors during the summer.
